Pacific Air — Float (TheFatRat Remix)

Like a sped up music box directly from the cloudy dreamworld, TheFatRat‘s remix of Float captivates your ears the moment it’s wound up and played.  The vocals don’t stray far behind at all—they are just as enchanting, just as uplifting, and just as peaceful as the xylophonic sounds that were reworked into Pacific Air‘s beautiful tune.

Boasting some aggressive dubstep transitions that hit the ground running like a Skrillex, deadmau5, or SHM concert yet calm down enough to tell you the story of free-spirits floating, TheFatRat showcases his incredible knack for bottom ends that seem to add wonderful groove to just about anything out there.  Complimenting the already great lyrics by giving it a youthful edge with his sounds, they too don’t fall far behind from the masterfulness that transforms this remix into a sonic escape:

I don’t want to be young,
But I dont want to die,
I can whisper in the wind
We can smoke out everynight.
I don’t want to live alone,
I don’t want to stay inside…”

Float is about free spirits. This remix manages to move the same way free-spirits do: one moment in a peaceful bliss, and the next in dramatic turmoil.  As free-spirits we desire everything that is to be desired.  No one can hold us back and no one can dictate to us what we can and can NOT do.  In that same mind-frame, we never truly die.

Will you let me, float away?”
